The varied shades of life...That lie twixt black and white The many paths we take...Between birth and death Wednesday, July 28, 2004 :D :D :D
ok..i have finally got over my laziness and decided to post.. :D The main reason I have'nt been posting is simply because there has'nt really been anything to say..Have been enjoying a nice boring life while I can coz in a few weeks time, all peace is going to go flying out of the window..
Have been making good use of the time to watch some cricket :D At the moment, am feeling good. Is difficult not to considering we won a match so close. All credit to the guys in blue who fought like men possessed, and they needed to. I don't think many people will disagree that maybe 5 years ago, there way no chance we would win the match after jayasuriya had taken us apart with surgical precision. It only goes to show how much the TEAM has come along. They have belief, not only in themselves but also in one another. The way Zaheer followed the thrashing he got with a maiden over was pure class. And then of course, the last over. Perfect yorkers all the way through. Sehwag's bowling was beautiful. If only he got a chance to bowl moreoften, would be a very useful fifth bowler. After all, he got into the team as an off spinner who could bat a bit!! And good to see him use his head and hang around. Once he was set, he opened up beautifully. Damned unlucky to be given out. Yuvraj played a blinder confirming his ability. One only hopes for more consistrent performers from this man who can deliver so much more. And for all the abuse the fellow has to suffer, I think Ganguly did a fabulous job. Batted beautifully and as per the team requirements. He seems to be slowing playing himself into someform and that is always good news, for when on fire, he can tear the bowlers apart as well as anyone else. And his captaincy was fantastic. Give the guy some credit. The team has been moulded by him over the years and the youngsters have all repaid his confidence in them. And it annoys the hell out of me to see all the hypocrites dancing around. They insist they have no faith, yet they will watch every ball. They criticise every mistake yet look as if they were the architects of the brilliant victory. And they talk crap about Tendulkar. Give the guy a break. And Dravid as well. The guy has won us more matches than I care to count. And yet, people just don't want to give him credit. :sticks middle finger up: We are not going to win every match. But at least they bloody well try and work their bollocks off. Which is more than I can say about most people. Right, now that I have completed my tirade and let off some steam, I can move on. Been learning how to drive over the past wekk or so. Had 7 classes so far out of 15 and been wandering around town. All good fun :D Been to CG road, Ashram Road, Old City, Usmanpura, Sarkhej Highway and havent killed anyone yet. If anything, at least the start to my driving life has been auspicious..hehehehe..Unfortunately, dont think the Brits are quite as easy going as us lot when it comes to issuing licenses (understatement of the century)..Though surely, if you can drive in India, esp Abad, driving in the UK should be as easy as piss. Stupid rules, me sez. That's that I think. My schedule comprises of driving, cricket, gym, story book, bed. Except on Saturday when we go rakhdofying the whole nite. Great Fun!! Late nite show, driving to kalupur for chai, sitting in the IIM lawns, eating food at the canteen at 3AM.....the list goes on. You is missing out big time Hems. Vaise, you shameless bum, kabhi to online aaya kar. Coll kab chalu ho raha hai? Thanks for all the comments people. I am relieved to see that some of you actually want me to post (or maybe you just wanted to know when i was posting so you could avoid it like the plague!! :D :P )..lol..either ways, see you around people. And hopefully (for some, anyways), wont be so long till the next time I post. X! Posted By Abhinay | 4:54 am | | |
