Michael Jackson found Not Guilty
So..MJ found not guilty on all counts, including the apparently fail safe prosecution option of "supplying alcohol to a minor" .. justice done? Preferentail treatment? A great lawyer? A flawed justice system?
Who knows..The jury says " We had to consider him the same as any other accused, a normal human being" ..fair? or maybe they SHOULD have considered him as a celebrity..Should we pay more attention to celebs? Should their sentences be stricter? tougher? After all, they are role models..Their behaviour is copied by millions of people across the world..Or should we be more lenient with them? After all, it is a lot easier to accuse a celeb in order to try and get some money off them.. Was it a money making exercise by the kid? Was he telling the truth? Who knows.. In the end, only those involved know what went on.. Is it justice? Maybe..Maybe not..But then, maybe there are people whou would ask whether sending him to jail would be justice..in fact, why maybe, there ARE people who believe his innocence and will till their dying days.. He admits to sleeping in the same bed as kids..But did he have sex with them? For every one child that says he abused them, another 10 say he didnt..But truth is not about the majority..Though, it is DEFINED by the majority.. or is it? Perhaps truth, like history, is defined by the winners, by the powerful, by the few..Who knows..the goal posts keep moving..Truth a hundred years ago is myth today..Hell, truth from 5 years ago is a lie today.. Fuck it, i dont even think i know what I am going on about here..Typically, I have started on one train of thought and gone in whichever direction my head has taken me..so am going to stop this discourse before it goes on for pages and pages as it might well threaten to..Gnite all..
